Nonprofit research organization dedicated to advancing scientific and medical research in the field of reproductive medicine adds prominent medical professors from Brown University and Weill Cornell Medical College
New York (June 22, 2011) – The Jones Foundation announced today that two prominent leaders in the field of reproductive medicine have joined the organization's Board of Directors:
- Eli Y. Adashi, M.D., Professor of Medical Science, Past Dean of Medicine and Biological Sciences at Brown University, Providence.
- Zev Rosenwaks, M.D., Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College, New York.

The Jones Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing scientific and medical research in the field of reproductive medicine. The foundation seeks to find solutions to infertility and improve reproductive health by funding vital research and advancing public and professional discourse to shape the bioethics of reproductive medicine.
“With the addition of Drs. Adashi and Rosenwaks, we continue to strengthen our board and our determination to provide resources to the scientific community to support innovative, high quality research in the field of reproductive medicine,” said Howard P. Milstein, Chairman of the Board. According to Mr. Milstein, the Foundation leadership remains committed to bridging the gap between medical research and clinical practice by engaging those individuals that will promote academic and clinical excellence.

Most recently, the Foundation awarded the Jones Institute of Eastern Virginia Medical School $277,000 in research grants for the next fiscal year to study topics such as oocyte failure and methods to improve implantation of the embryo in the uterus.
Dr. Howard W. Jones, Jr., co-founder of the Howard and Georgeanna Jones Foundation for Reproductive Medicine said, “With the added assistance and guidance from Drs. Adashi and Rosenwaks, we hope to improve the chances that every couple can achieve the dream of becoming a family.”
